Teens love money; it's a fact. As good as this is, it is a problem as well. Their love for money causes them to spend it almost instantly after their receive or earn it; well, at least most teens. Either way, everyone can take a little advice on managing your money. Being a teenager is not easy, and there is always this temptation to spend more and more.

A Christian home is gracious. Have you ever made a mistake in your life? Have you ever made a mistake with money? Chances are you answered yes to both of these questions. Your spouse should be able to make a mistake without having to get screamed at by you. For many years, I thought that if I made more money all of my financial problems would go away. That day finally arrived. In one year my income doubled. At the end of that year not only did my financial problems not go away, but they became worse. That may be hard for many to believe. You're thinking "if my income doubled in one year, there is no way I would have more debt." Think about it for a moment. If your income doubled immediately, what would you purchase? Would you buy a new car, new clothes, would you move into a better place, or how about that much needed vacation?

The first step is to avoid the misunderstanding that you have to win a lottery to get rich. You can get rich within yourself if you know how to make sensible budgets and stick to them. Then you have to make a good plan for long term and short term savings. This will slowly make you richer.

Beware of impulsiveness. Another rule in managing money is to prevent being impulsive. Always prioritize. Go through several options before deciding on what to spend upon. Do not settle for the first thing that comes in your way. Impulsiveness can place your money in a risk. You could have purchase the same thing in a lower cost during lean months.

A Christian home is based on God's purposes for you. This is where producing the income you need in your home comes into play. Are you doing what God's purpose is for you as a career? If you are doing what God has designed you to do, chances are you will be extremely passionate about it. Saving money is the best idea going. It's like having employees working for your profit. It is great, but you find more people are interested in learning how to make more money.
